By plane from Easter Island via Santiago de Chile to Buenos Aires.
At the airport was only one bank for changing money (with a long waiting line), but they had better rates then the money changers in town. The Banco Nation at Plaza de Mayo had also decent rates. ATM's have very high extra charges. My MasterCard did not always work (a general problem in Argentinia and Chile).
For Metro and Bus you need a Sube card (Octopus type card) available and rechargeable at Metro stations and some 24 hour minimarkets.
Bus number 8 goes from the Ezeiza International Airport via Once (Metro and suburban train), Plaza de Mayo (Metro) to La Boka with some detours taking 1,5 hours (without traffic jam) a bit faster and more expensive is Tienda Leon.
The Buenos Aires Museum of Modern Art has some exceptional good exhibitions.
The Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes is a excellent museum with pre Columbia Art, argentinian paintings, a large colletion of Impressionist paintings, Bosch, Goya and Rodin.
The Colección de Arte Amalia Lacroze de Fortabat is a quite nice museum with argentinian paintings as well as some europian ones.
The Mercado San Telmo has a lot of interesting foodstalls, antique and other stalls.
The Benito Quinquela Martín Museum in the La Boca area (where La Boca is very touristy) has paintings from Benito Quinquela Martín and other argentinian painters and sculptors and the living rooms of Benito Quinquela Martín.
La Boca
In some areas of Buenos Aires you find some interesting graffitis.
And there are some nice gardens.
