Mar del Plata

By bus a short visit to Mar del Plata. At first one sees a lot of mostly bland highrise buildings with sometimes a leftover from earlier times, usualy in some sort of english style between. A few blocks from the beach they become more common, paticulaly around the main shopping street Martin Miguel de Güermes. Off season the place is quite reasonable.

Colonia del Sacramento

View South America 2019/20 on UliS's travel map.

By bus to Buenos Aires and ferry to Colonia del Sacramento.
The exchange rates at the money changers are quite bad in Colonia, ATM's have as in Argentinia and Chile quite high extra charges, fortunately one can pay allmost everywhere with credit card and differently to Argentinia and Chile no problems with MasterCard.
The bus terminal is next to the ferry port.

The Museum of Decorative Arts (Palacio Taranco) was built in the early 20. century by the Taranco Ortiz family and was bought by the Uruguayan state, now a museum and historic landmark.
In the basement is now a colletion of archeological greek, italian greek and middle eastern art and upstairs furnitures and art mostly from the Taranco Ortiz family.

By bus from Ouro Preto to Brasilia. From the Rodovaria (bus terminal) a Metro goes to the center of Brasilia. From the center to the airport the bus number 0.030 (they use a odd bus number system) is running along W3 Norte then W3 Sul with many stops (there are also buses from other parts of Brasilia).
